Why Winfield Lakes in Fresno Texas is the Place to Be

It’s that time of year again.  The kids are about to finish out the school year and you’re ready to start looking for a new home.  Where do you start?  What do you look for?  We’re going to make it easy for you.  Fort Bend County is a rural area that’s growing fast, but is still quiet and secluded for privacy away from the bustling city.  The Winfield Lakes community located in Fort Bend County is just what you’re looking for.

Lake Ridge Builders offers beautiful new homes in the Winfield Lakes community. It’s a gorgeous community that offers the peace and tranquility you want after a long day of work.   This immaculate community is located conveniently close to Highway 288, the Fort Bend Toll Way, and Highway 6.  There’s an exquisite lake along with trails for residents to enjoy.  There’s also a clubhouse, a gazebo, a swimming pool, and a playground with a sitting area.

Local shopping attractions include easy access to the First Colony Mall and the Galleria.  Both shopping areas also have a large variety of fine and casual dining establishments.

Children in this neighborhood attend the Fort Bend Independent School District.   The elementary school is Rosa Parks Elementary.  The middle school is Lake Olympia Middle School and the high school is Hightower High School.  Students who attend Rosa Parks are not required to wear uniforms.  However, proper attire is required.  The school mascot is a rocket and the school colors are hunter green and golden yellow.

Lake Olympia is a 187,000 square foot space that is designed around a central “main street” concept.  The first level offers a common area where you’ll find the administrative offices, the library, the cafeteria, the commons, and the stage.  The first level also houses two gymnasiums, the special education, art, and industrial technology and computer lab areas.   The downstairs level offers eighth and seventh grade classrooms along with the science wing.  Additionally, a weight room, football field, 3 softball fields, four tennis courts and the KRAL-TV studio are offered by the school.  The school mascot is a Mustang and the school colors are white and Columbia blue.

Hightower offers special studies which concentrate in the areas of digital media and medical sciences.  It still offers regular high school activities such as UIL athletics, drill team, cheerleading, fine arts, clubs, a marching band, an orchestra, and theatre.  Students can also apply for the Career Academies program.  However, acceptance to the program is based on grades, teacher recommendations, discipline history, and standardized test scores.  All of the courses provided under the Career Academies program are honors level after the first year introductory courses.
