Is This the Next Great Landmark in Houston?

August 14, 2013

The tallest skyscraper in Houston has been developed by Hines, which is one of the most prestigious firms in Texas. The company has big plans for a major expansion, and would like to develop an even taller building right now.

Many people in the real estate industry believe that the expansion project will result in one of the most premier towers that Houston has ever seen. Regarding it as the Class AA building, Hines is accelerating their work and the tower will probably be completed in a relatively short time, maybe even before tenants sign up for it.

Previously, the new skyscraper was supposed to have 41 levels with an area of 815,000 square feet on Main Street. However, the plans have been made even bigger, and a taller building will be built with exclusive high class amenities.

A representative from Hines states that they had acquired full pace on the design, and they might start constructing in the first quarter of the year 2014. This is not even a year away from now.

The office real estate market in Houston is already going fairly strong. Some major enterprises are interested in expanding their businesses even more, and for that they require space, which the next tallest skyscraper in Houston is going to provide. This is exactly why the building is going to be even bigger and better, making it one of the most significant skyscrapers in the area.

The exact height and area of the new building will be finalized by the last quarter of this year. At that time, the designs will have been completed. The designing tasks have been assigned to Pickard Chilton, New Haven.

The building site is at the south eastern corner of Main Street, near Texas Avenue at Block 69. Texas’ tallest building, the 75 story JP Morgan Chase Tower, which was also developed by Hines, is just a block away from this site.

The new skyscraper’s doors will open out right onto Main Street. On the right side, the Metro rail would run by to make commuting easier for people. The building will be equipped with quality facilities and offer all features that offices require.

Other than this, several office towers are also being constructed so that demands for the Houston real estate market can be met.
