Spring is Here…Time to go House Hunting!

April 28, 2014

Do you have any plans to buy a home this year? If so, now is the time to go into action or it may be too late.  The spring season has arrived and that is when most of the houses – both new construction and resale – go on the market! You not only want a good house, you want to pay the minimum amount you can for it.

And by the way, you are not the only one who wants a house. There are so many other people who also have hopes for one. Want to beat all this competition? Staying a step ahead is the only way. And how do you do that? By acting on what we say next.

We talked to some of the best real estate agents in Texas, and they told us, that as a buyer, your game is significantly improved if you play by the rules. And what are these you may ask. Here are the details.

Searches for a home begin online

Want a picture perfect house and at the lowest price? Online is where your search should begin. Go through these with your real estate agent. And did you know that you can even take help from apps?  There are so many of these available that will notify you as soon as a house in your area of interest pops up on the market.

No successful offers were ever made instantly

Should you make an offer as soon as you have toured the property? A big no is what all of the real estate agents will tell you. Even if you fall in love with a house, never give your offer immediately. Once the visit is over, have a discussion with your real estate agent, talk to an inspector and then make an offer.

Details must be kept private

Your seller does not have to know each and every detail about you, especially not the extremity to which you can go to buy a house or the maximum amount you will be willing to pay. Always make an offer lower than this, and if you are in luck, the seller will agree.
